PJSC Territorial Generating Company #2 (TGC-2) is the largest electricity and heat generating company in the Northern part of Russia. TGC-2 plants are situated on the territory of 6 regions (Archangelsk, Vologda, Tver, Kostroma, Novgorod, Yaroslavl); these regions occupy the area of 974.4 thousand square kilometres. Total population of the regions serviced by TGC-2 is 7 103 thousand people.

Coal imported from the Pechorsky coalfield is the main reserve resource of fuel for the Arkhangelsk Central Administrative Board.
Peat resources
Territories of all the regions of the Company operations have considerable peat reserves. Total peat reserves equal to approx. 1 billion tons. For example, Vologda region has 2380 peat minefields, that occupy the territory of 1.3 million hectares. Kostroma region has 575 million tons of peat.
Oil and gas resources
Territory of Arkhangelsk region contains oil and gas minefields. Vologda, Novgorod and Tver region hold gas and oil pipelines. New gas pipelines are being built on the territory of Arkhangelsk and Vologda regions. Starting from KS-17 (Gryazovets, Vologda region) North European Gas Pipeline for annual transporting of 3.9 billion cubic meters for the countries of northern Europe is being built.
Wood resources
Arkhangelsk, Vologda, Kostroma region, Novgorod and Tver region are rich in wood resources.
Air resources
There is a possibility of using wind turbines on the coast of the Barencevo sea in Arkhangelsk region, where the wind speed is more than 5 meters/sec.
